Fox Star Hindi finally released the first and much-awaited Sanju trailer and we are lost at words for the trailer, as well as, for the man of the hour, Ranbir Kapoor. Ranbir plays the role of Sanjay Dutt in his biopic and there’s very little that distincts him from real-life Sanjay Dutt. From his style of talking to his personality and even his body manners reek of Sanjay Dutt and it’s refreshing in every which way.

The 3 minute Sanju trailer shows some of the most crucial parts of Sanjay Dutt’s life and introduces each and every important person and character to his story.

When the news of a Sanjay Dutt biopic came out, people were somehow skeptical about its existence, considering the people behind the movie were some of Sanjay Dutt’s closest friends. However, Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra have clarified that this would not be an advertisement for Sanjay Dutt or a movie that focuses on clearing his image. The makers admitted that Sanju will carry every good and bad part of Sanjay Dutt’s life and even of the people around him. And, after watching the trailer we think that this might be true.

There are various instances in the trailer where Sanjay Dutt’s life has been shown to the Z, in terms of its comparison with reality. It has positive, comic and some extremely saddening sides of Dutt’s story and it all makes sense. Plus, the main narrative of the story seems to be Sanjay Dutt’s rift with the entire gun and terrorism parts of his life, at least that’s what has been shown in the trailer.

Sanju Trailer: Watch the video over here:

The trailer is a testament to Ranbir Kapoor’s talent and all the hard work that he has put in the movie. Apart from Ranbir, various other actors charm us with their small, yet important parts in the trailer, especially Paresh Rawal and Vicky Kaushal.

Anushka Sharma’s role has not been yet clarified by the makers, though her look for the movie seems too different than what she has ever sported before. But then, her last movie with Hirani also gave us a very different look, so maybe it’s their thing.

Along with Ranbir Kapoor, Sanju also stars Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal, Dia Mirza, Boman Irani, Jim Sarbh among others. Sanju is scheduled to release on June 29.
