Vishal Bhardwaj’s new directorial venture, “Rangoon” trailer is here and it’s a good mix of Bhardwaj’s visual art and actors in their best form. “Rangoon” is set in the World War II backdrop where India is on the brink of Independence and a love-triangle between Saif Ali Khan, Kangana Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor is taking place. Bhardwaj is known to get the best out of his actors and his past work, Saif’s iconic character ‘Langda Tyagi’ and Shahid’s performances in Kaminey and Haider, are a good example of it.
“Rangoon” is undoubtedly one of the most awaited movies of 2017. Kangana plays ‘Julia’, the queen of Hindi Cinema and is a kick-ass female action star from the 1940s. Saif plays the role of a movie producer (who is also a super possessive lover) and Shahid is a soldier, all there for Julia’s safety. Rangoon’s trailer definitely gave some really good dialogues, like Julia’s “Bloody Hell”, and seems to be a part of cinematic art in Bollywood.

Vishal Bhardwaj directed “Rangoon”, also has his music and Gulzar’s lyrics which are an artwork in themselves. It is shot by Pankaj Kumar, a much-acclaimed cinematographer, popular for his work in “Haider” and “Ship Of Theseus”.
Rangoon is slated to release on 24th February 2017.
