Lift, a small invention that does wonders for the humankind. It’s one of those devices that we don’t really know the necessity of until we actually lose it. If you don’t agree with me, then try mounting some 16 floors till your house, at least twice a day and then get back in here. It’s exhausting and dreading. If you really think about it, we do spend a huge amount of our time in a place like lift whose only work is to eliminate the manpower in climbing up stairs.
A young and budding director has now decided to use this small space for their twelve-minute short movie. Lift is a film about two people who meet, fell in love, fell out of love and then knew each other’s importance in their lives, all in a single lift. While the story on paper might seem a bit monotonous, it’s excellent on screen.
It’s brilliant how amazingly the director was able to pull of a confined space for their entire storyline, and more than that, the story is actually pretty cute. Revolving around the romance genre, it’s more about how nicely the entire plot was made and finally carried out.
Lift: Watch The Movie Here:
This short movie was shared by Imtiaz Ali, why you may ask because it’s a direction design of his dear 15-year-old daughter, Ida Ali. The Lift was directed and written by Ida Ali, while it was produced by Imtiaz Ali’s production house Window Seat.
I can’t even fathom the fact that this movie was made by a 15-year-old. Like father like daughter, finding beauty in easy and realistic concepts rather than going all out and it was indeed an amazing movie.
