Over the course of last one week, our country has gone through so many emotions regarding Sridevi’s sudden demise. She was a true-blue superstar who had fans from all across the country and movie industries. However, in the midst of all this, there were various other things that went wrong, from media’s callousness regarding the issue, to how certain people responded to the speculations.
Yesterday, as Boney Kapoor, film producer, and husband of Sridevi, performed the last rites of his beloved wife and bid the final goodbye to her, the entire country wept along with him and his family.
After coming back from the crematorium, Kapoor went on to share an emotional note from Sridevi’s Twitter handle.
In the note, he explained how Sridevi was the pillar of his strength and the axis around which their family ran. He also stated, “To the world, she was their Chandni, the actor par excellence, their Sridevi, but to me, she was my love, my friend, mother to our girls, my partner. To our daughters, she was their everything, their life. She was the axis around which our family ran.”
Through his note, Kapoor also thanked his family and friends, especially his other two kids from first wife, Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor, who have been pillars of strength for him, Khushi and Jhanvi.

At the end of his emotional letter, Boney Kapoor requested all to give their family some time to grieve in private and wrote, “As we bid goodbye to my beloved wife and Khushi and Janhvi’s muma, I have a sincere request. Please respect our need to grieve privately. If you need to talk of Sri, let it be of the special memories that connect each of you to her.”
Along with Boney, even the Kapoor, Ayyappan and Marwah family came out with a public note. Check out their note over here:

Shared by Sonam Kapoor, the note reads, “The outpouring of love is the memory that we would like Khushi and Janhvi to have of their mother… a woman who was loved unquestionably by everyone. Let us all who loved Sri, envelope her two little ones, her life, as she often called them, with as much love or more love than we gave Sri so that they can live their lives ahead with a little less ache in their hearts”.
Through both the notes, the family requested the media to respect the privacy of the family and allow them space to grieve privately.
