Amitabh Bachchan, the legend who showed everyone the way towards a woman’s no last year is walking on the same path that he once shamed.
‘Pink’ can only be described as one of the most influential movies of the recent times and when it can, it simply laid down the meaning of a woman’s no in the most inspirational and truest way possible. No one can deny the fact that somehow Pink diminished the space between a commercial success and being critically acclaimed, by reigning in both the territories. The movie earned success, great reviews and a general sense of thanks from the audience for making the entire phenomenon an easy task to understand for the people of this country.
And, even though Amitabh Bachchan has been a great actor and human being in general, Pink pushed the right button in portraying him as one of the feminists who owns up to his decisions in the industry.
However, when Pink turned one on 16th September and Amitabh Bachchan went on Twitter to show his gratitude for the movie, everything that we earlier said, came to a standstill and completely falsified. The great legend Amitabh Bachchan posted this photo, along with the caption that said – The team of ‘PINK’ .. all in one frame .. and .. ALL, independent, individual .. NATIONAL AWARD WINNERS!!

Now, one doesn’t need a lot of intelligence to understand the entire path where Amitabh Bachchan went wrong with his ‘Pink’ anniversary celebrations. The picture shared by Big B, reveals a lot of things and it’s just disheartening to have a look at it.
Bachchan didn’t find anything wrong in posting a picture of his team from the movie Pink, which was a woman-centric movie and was indeed a film with three female leads, who are nowhere to be found in this picture. And the second wrong thing about it was the lack of women in the core team of Pink. A movie that tells the complications with which a woman has to live in our society, didn’t have any women in the core team to actually shape up the reality. One just can’t expect something like this from Amitabh Bachchan who has been in the industry for far too long understand the problem of female representation in our film industry and how they are treated in being much limited than a male actor.
And just like you and me, many others also hated Amitabh Bachchan’s actions and started calling him out:
A national award winning film about women's dignity and rights but the celebration above has only meṅ in the frame. Wrong messaging sir

Can't see those three girls who lived independently, how they face society, how they face their morals. Pl repost with their pics too, sir

The soul and spirit of PINK is missing in this pic sir. This is not the team… But part of the team. ☺️

However, Big B being Big B went back to his usual routine of posting his image with a philosophical quote under it.
