Coffee happens to be one of the world’s most consumed beverages. In fact, by pure admission, most of us would like to believe that coffee is, indeed, the most-consumed beverage over and above any other beverage anywhere, regardless of taste, fragrance, and consumption.
But when it comes from the house of Starbucks, it does taste delicious. In fact, can we say, “Coffeelicious!?”
After already making heads turn and leaving tongues wagging, Starbucks is all set to enter a brand new territory in India as it seeks to expand its coffee-wings.
And here’s what you ought to know. While the likes of Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai may already have slurped endless mugs of the most delightful tasting coffee, Starbucks in Gujarat is creating awesome news.
For the first time ever, Starbucks shall open several outlets in the western region of a market that really does thrive on coffee. In fact, news has it that the famous Seattle-based American coffee chain is due to open several new coffee chain outlets all across India in the imminent future.
It’s believed that in the current financial year, Starbucks shall open around 30 new outlets spread across the country. It could be said, therefore, that the renowned coffee specialist seems to be experiencing a successful period in its run in one of the world’s fastest-growing economies.
That said, it is worthwhile to note that it was back in 2012 when the American coffee-maker opened its first-ever outlet in India. And that said, where it stands at the moment, the coffee chain has already opened 5 stores in the key Gujarat cities of Ahmedabad and Surat.
If you were wondering about the overall strength of the famous brand then it’s worthwhile knowing that, as of now, there are already 157 Starbucks outlets in 10 cities that also include Chennai and Hyderabad.
But it seems that from the onset of the 2017-18 financial year, the coffee chain has been on a store-opening spree in India. While it would go on to add 25 stores in 2017-18, another 30 would be added the very next financial year.
Livemint, reporting more on the said development happened to share the following:
The Starbucks flagship store in Ahmedabad is located at Prahlad Nagar and will offer customers more vegetarian food options. Starbucks that operates in the market through a 50:50 joint venture with Tata Global Beverages opened its first store in India in October of 2012.
In the light of the above, it can be aptly forecasted that one wonders when shall the famous coffee-chain go onto cater to the tier-two cities in India, such as the likes of Prayagraj, Lucknow, Chandigarh, so on and so forth. Aren’t they too the rising forces of the consumer market, no longer restricted as the ‘would-be’ cities?
