Developers are taking forward the course of our present and through their hard work and creativity, they’re are developing apps and software. What might have started from a group of professionals is now veering among the students and young developers. There are millions of students around the world who are creating something unique and different for the people.
Apple is now felicitating those youngsters by offering them an Apple scholarship. The scholarship will be offered to some 350 students who are currently at Apple WWDC 2018 conference which is happening in San Jose, California.
Just hours before the event was about to start Tim Cook, Apple CEO, shared a video in which he introduced some 8-10 students and the apps they have developed. One of those is Aashna Narula from Delhi who is currently studying MSc from Delhi University and has developed a unique app called Let’s Shapify.

Let’s Shapify is aimed at pre-school students and helps enhance a child’s observational and categorisational skills. Aashna Narula talked with The Indian Express regarding her app and said, “Initially, I incorporated the idea of matching all the shapes on the screen with the correct shape. Soon I realised why not include both the things, shape and colour. So, I incorporated the idea of colours as well.”
Her app was selected by the Apple team who have decided to give her a scholarship since she developed her app using Apple’s Swift coding language.

“While matching the shapes, one has to also keep a close check on the color of the shape. Also, the child is expected to clear all the levels within the given time constraint,” she explains, adding that her 5-year-old nephew Kartik was the inspiration for the app. “Like many other kids, Kartik suffers from a problem of not able to differentiate between same and different,” she adds.
Apart from the whole scholarship process, Apple WWDC 2018 event is also said to have quite a few launched. iOS 12 is said to be one of those, it’s the latest operating system for the iPhone and is expected to be launched at the event. Other major expected launches include the iPhone SE 2, AirPower wireless charging mat for Apple devices, Airpods with improved Siri support and more.
