Amrish Puri, the actor who is still popularly known for his wrathful projection of an antagonist in Bollywood movies, is no more among us but he will always be remembered as one of the most respected actors ever. He made all of his characters memorable, especially Mogambo, as soon as you take his name, the image of a horrifying baddie sitting on a throne comes into your mind and you can almost imagine him saying, ” Mogambo Khush Hua”!
Amrish Puri, was born on 22 June 1932 and left us in tears on 12 January 2005. He played his roles with such sheer effort and hard work that he made everyone of them iconic. His place can not be filled as he had his distinctive acting style through which he brought all of his characters to life on the screen. While all of the above were portraying the wrath of an antagonist, one dialogue that we all are and will always be in love with is from “Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge”, where he played a trout father (Babuji) but in the end he understood that all that matters is the happiness of Simran.
