Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his family, were all over the Indian media last week, all thanks to their official trip to the country. There were controversies one after the other that followed this family on their week-long India trip. From being too-colour coordinated with their traditional Indian outfits to the invitation to a Canada-based Khalistani activist at his event, there was too much that happened in last week.
However, nothing evoked more reactions than the wardrobe choice the family went ahead with.
They took the entire saying – “dress for the part,” way too seriously and unfortunately received a lot of flak for coming off as too fake on their behalf. Many called them out for taking the entire, “embracing the culture” too ahead, in fact, J&K opposition leader Omar Abdullah tweeted, “Is it just me or is this choreographed cuteness all just a bit much now? Also FYI we Indians don’t dress like this every day sir, not even in Bollywood,” which is all true.
The Daily Show host Trevor Noah decided to talk to his American audience about the entire wardrobe incident. He started his segment by making a droll comparison between the POTUS Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and said, “as Donald Trump becomes more and more un-woke, Justin Trudeau is compensating in the other direction.”
He went on to describe the entire outfit fiasco the Trudeau family went through on their India trip and how reporters reported it. Along with how Trudeau family’s future trip might look like.

To be honest, it indeed is funny to the Z. Trudeau and family wanted to embrace the Indian culture, however, all went in the opposite direction as they decided to over-do it. Nonetheless, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is still one of the most popular and widely-loved politicians in the world, with a strong fan base in India.
