Truth be known, there’s a little bit of Indore that lives in each one of us. Bold statement? Random statement? Whatever! You will ask how is that possible? Well, if you were to delve a bit deep and examine the various factors that move us, ignite passion in us and define just who we really are, you shall come to know of it.
Some of us want our surroundings to be clean. Many of us actually want a spick and span house but very few are willing to do something about it. Isn’t it? That desire to keep surroundings and our house clean- is Indore.
Many of us crave for good food. But few actually know where to find it. Many simply while away time and pass judgement that there’s no good food without even making the effort at exploring things around. That desire to explore culture by way of exploring food, such a strong point of India, is Indore.
Above anything else, all of us wish to maintain a sense of consistency in all that we do or at least, in certain things in life- isn’t that also true? Whether it is maintaining a healthy lifestyle, hitting the gym frequently, abstaining from sugar and to move away from the world of health, then consistent habits such as monitoring the stocks and indexes as frequently as we go for morning walks.
So what is that consistency after all? That consistency is Indore. And staying true to its astounding principle of consistency with which it does one thing better than any other city in India, Indore has done it again.
What are we without consistency in life? Ever thought about it!
For the fifth consecutive time has Indore become the cleanest city in all of India. If that is not applause worthy, then one wonders what is?
It’s not for nothing that Indore has been adjudged as the cleanest city of the country; the constant efforts of the civic bodies coupled with those of the citizens of the city have taken it to a great position in the country.
For it’s easy to leave everything to the authorities with regards to a city’s conservation, cleanliness and upkeep and something quite other to work towards the end goal- to ensure that cleanliness shines bright over and above anything else.
Having said that, credit must also go to the people of Indore who, on their part, have gone the extra mile to keep their own surroundings clean. Very often it takes the simplest of steps to achieve the biggest of goals.
In that regard, Indore’s people have kept up with the idea of keeping their city nice and sparkling by abstaining from a long list of cavalier acts that many of us don’t care about despite being educated and learned.
These are things like littering. Things like not putting waste into the bins despite there not being any dearth around. By these simple steps, the people have Indore have truly proven that they love their city and it’s thanks to their love and the commendable consistency shown by the municipal bodies and the NGOs and other sanitation workers that the city called Mini Mumbai has become what it is. And we must all join hands in admiration to credit it for being the cleanest city of India.
But having said that, besides Indore, there were other Indian cities too that came to light for being one among the many in terms of cleanliness and sanitation. So what cities are these and what did news platforms such as Money Control have to say about them?
