Sonakshi Sinha, who doesn’t shy away from expressing what she feels like, have yet again come out of Bollywood onto social media. However, this time it is to save herself from fellow industry people. The entire debacle revolves around the topic – should actors sing or not? Well, this question has been in existence for the longest time, while for some it can be twisted into, should singers act?
The real story starts with Kailash Kher who recently expressed his opposing views of actors being asked to perform on stage with international artists. Sonakshi Sinha who bagged one of the opening acts in Justin Bieber concert was the main person, Kailash Kher was talking about. He said that when an international singer comes to India, an actor is put on par with them on stage and not a singer. So, that would send a wrong message to international audiences.
While a huge part of this statement is true, considering the fact that singers in India are not treated up to the status that they deserve. They are not treated or even considered to be as big of a superstar as actors in the industry. If one compares the same situation to Hollywood, there’s a drastic difference. Singers are international artists and major pop icon in the US.
Something similar to this was expressed by singer Armaan Malik, who went on to agree with Kailash Kher in his tweet.

Agree with @Kailashkher sir! Actors are actors & singers are singers. Leave the stage & mic to us, that’s our playground not yours. https://t.co/fAezwNkTDF
He even clarified his stand on the issue in the clearest way possible.

@armaanian014 @Kailashkher Sure everyone deserves to do whatever they’re good at but give the actors a microphone & tell em to sing live I’m sure you’ll get ur answer
And another one.

Sonakshi Sinha soon noticed the tweet and decided to herself reply on the concerns of Armaan Malik

A secure artist wud always encourage another artist to grow their skills and follow their dreams. Art in any form should not be suppressed. https://t.co/hJlm9U6Gk3
Along with this, she made sure to release some other things too.

And this is definitely not the same tune you were singing when you wanted me to sing for you https://t.co/hJlm9U6Gk3
After this, Armaan replied to Sonakshi and said things that are real in the industry, as well as, in the country.

I Agree with u sonakshi.. but I voiced what I felt about how singers are shunned in our country & given lesser importance than actors!! https://t.co/Gnwshe01GP
He also clarified that maybe Sonakshi is mistaking him for his brother, Amaal Mallik, who’s a composer.

You are mistaking me for @AmaalMallik he is the composer 🙂 https://t.co/7TpVl96EzR
Amaal also had the same question.
Amaal Mallik on Twitter
@sonakshisinha Are you mistaking @ArmaanMalik22 for me
Then Sonakshi had some beans to spill and gave some details about the incident.
Sonakshi Sinha on Twitter
@ArmaanMalik22 @AmaalMallik Of course i know Amaal is the composer but i clearly remem u both coming up to me after an event a while bk asking to do a song together.

Amaal Mallik on Twitter
@sonakshisinha @ArmaanMalik22 I may have said let’s collaborate, but @ArmaanMalik22 and I haven’t attended any such event where we came up together & said this to you
To this Sonakshi decided to take a step back and gave a simple good luck.

@AmaalMallik @ArmaanMalik22 good luck to you both
We have two things to say about this conversation.
What just happened? Who ridiculed whom? And, no one should take panga with Malik brothers.
