There are so many things that a new season of IPL brings in with itself. From celebratory season to new and upcoming talent in the field of cricket which is not just a sport in this country, but much like a religion. And, just like a religion, the IPL is celebrated in a way which is nothing short of a big festival and every festival calls for a celebration.
Which is why, the people in IPL committee, much like every season, have made an anthem to mark the arrival of this great celebratory season in the country. In a first, the BCCI and Star India have collaborated to create an anthem for the campaign this year which puts the spotlight on what the IPL stands for – pitting the best in T20 cricket against each other. And aptly, they have named the anthem ‘Best vs Best’.
The music, lyrics and the video capture the true essence of IPL in this anthem which is to bring together the best of the global talent.

The IPL 2018 anthem has been released in five languages – Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu. A talented ensemble of artists worked on the anthem – South African filmmaker Dan Mace, music director Raajeev V Bhalla and vocalist Siddhart Basrur, was the man who sung the anthem in five different languages.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Chennai Super Kings’ Captain, shared this IPL 2018 anthem on his Twitter which is very rare for a man like Dhoni who likes to share as little of his life on social media, as possible.
Still some time for the tournament to start but as expected a brilliant campaign to kick it off @IPL @StarSportsIndia pic.twitter.com/NgivOugSqB
