Indian Premier League 2018 has been a roller coaster ride till now with many exciting and thrilling games, coming out one after another. However, who would have thought that the team that won last year’s IPL and two seasons prior to that, would have such a hard luck at this year’s IPL?
But they are going through a whirlwind of disparities that continues to slow them down on the chart. Till now, MI has won just one match and lost 5 others which is a shameful stat in itself, with last night’s match being the biggest disappointment from the lot. Playing in their home ground Wankhede stadium, the Mumbai bowlers restricted the Sunrisers to 119 but failed to chase it. Mumbai Indians got out for 87 runs as all the batsmen visibly struggled.
From the entire team, Krunal Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav were the only two players who scored in double-digits. However, it’s Hardik Pandya who’s facing major flak for his performance in the last match. Hardik managed to score 3 runs off 19 balls, and his innings has got the people on social media fuming with anger.
One look at these reactions and you’ll get how mean people can be against an athlete who wasn’t able to perform well in a match. Here are some reactions to Hardik Pandya’s innings.

After the match got over, Rohit Sharma (Mumbai Indians captain) said, “We have got ourselves to blame. We should chase down 118 on any wicket, we didn’t show character, the Sunrisers did. Very happy with the way we bowled, they did a brilliant job, but the batsmen let us down once again.”
Fans and cricket lovers need to understand that sometimes athletes do fail. It’s just IPL 2018 is not lucky and too-good for Mumbai Indians.
