Not only you can change the font size for WhatsApp chats but you can also use options such as ‘Italic’ or ‘Bold’ fonts.

Changing the font size
Step 1: Open the WhatsApp app on your smartphone
Step 2: Navigate to WhatsApp settings
Step 3: Now scroll down to the ‘Chats’ option and tap on it
Step 4: Tap on ‘Font Size’ and you will see three options, Small, Medium and Large
Step 5: While the WhatsApp default settings come with Medium font size, you can change it according to your preference.
Italic and Bold fonts on WhatsApp Chats
There is no option to permanently choose Italic or Bold fonts as your default settings nor can you do it selecting the text. However, if you want to change the font of a particular word or sentence to italic, you can do so by adding ‘_’ at both sides of the text. For example, _word_ or _how are you_.
On the other hand, if you want to send bold text, you will have to add * on both sides of the word or the sentence. For example *word* or *how are you*. Moreover, there is also a way to ‘Strikethrough’ the text and you can do so by adding the ~ sign at both sides of the text.
