The consortium, Unicode has just approved 56 new emojis that will soon be included. This 56 new emojis feature a woman breastfeeding a baby, a “gender-inclusive” child, adult and older adult, a woman wearing Hijab and many more.
These emojis will be released in 2017 and they also include a head exploding , a face vomiting and a man as well as a woman practising yoga.
An inclusion of Hijab represents the acceptance of wider culture and it has been welcomed as a triumph for diversity. A 15-year-old teenager Rayouf Alhumedhi who hails from Germany started the campaign to include a hijab emoji and it is clear that her efforts have been successful.

If anyone wants Unicode to recognise a new emoji, the patron needs to submit a proposal with the design. The officials of Unicode Consortium take the call whether it should be included or not and approve it. Once it gets approved, it goes up for sale to various ‘platform vendors‘ such as Android and Apple.
The new emojis also include bearded man, T-rex , sandwich, broccoli, a flying saucer and vampire.
