In order to bolster their squad for ISL 2017, the Gaurs have given their squad the needed midfield stability by signing Eduardo Bedia Peláez and the club will definitely want to better their performances as they finish at the bottom of the table, Last season.
Moreover, Eduardo’s addition might turn out to be their marquee signing as he stands at 6ft 10in and is a powerhouse having great shooting skills and he makes full use of his height. A product of La Liga’s Racing de Santander’s youth academy, this dynamic midfielder, in 2008, made his senior team debut, while in 2013, Eduardo Bedia Peláez joined the Barcelona B squad after playing with lower rung football clubs for a couple of years.
Blessed with good passing abilities, Eduardo Peláez will have a few tricks up his sleeves which will definitely leave the club’s officials as well as fans, impressed.
Meanwhile, FC Goa have already begun their preparations for ISL 2017 with the team’s Goan contingent participating in a special fitness program at Chowgule grounds in Margao and the FC Goa’s fitness coach Manuel Saybera is letting his players follow a physical endurance regime while assistant coach Derrick Pereira is overlooking the proceeding.
The signing of Eduardo Bedia Peláez comes at the perfect time as he could now manage some valuable training time to adapt to his new club prior to ISL 2017.
The heart of the matter is, FC Goa seems to be going all out in order to achieve a good finish in the upcoming Indian Super League season and the Spaniard’s signing might help them rise through the ranks of ISL 2017. The Gaurs had quite a humiliating fall last year after reaching the final in 2015, but this time around, they can no longer play with the defensive approach.
Having said that, India’s experience with the Big Boys can help the attacking line with some support and it remains to be seen whether FC Goa can register a comeback after a humiliating season in last year’s Indian Super League.
