Indian Super League 2017/18 is going to be the biggest tournament that Indian fans have ever witnessed with a total number of 10 teams and 130 games being played between them. After three successful seasons, two new teams, Bengaluru FC and Jamshedpur FC, has been introduced into the league.
Moreover, with the inclusion of these two new teams, Indian Super League is bound for some never seen upsets as neither Bengaluru FC, which has been dominating the I-League, nor the TATA-backed Jamshedpur FC can be underestimated for the upcoming tournament.
With every Indian Super League club having sorted their domestic signings in last month’s draft, they are focusing on roping in overseas players to complete their 25-man squad for ISL 2017-18.
Mumbai, Pune And Delhi are coming with full force to complete their signings and have confirmed one foreign player each for the upcoming edition of Indian Super League.
Mumbai City: Former PSG striker Everton Santos
The 30-year-old striker joins Lucian Goian as well as compatriot Gerson Vieira for last season’s semi-finalists. Santos’ goal scoring record is not one the greatest for someone who is a centre-forward as he has scored only 36 goals in 229 career appearances.

However, Everton Santos brings in the experience of having played with various clubs in South America, Europe as well as Asia. He has had stints Japan and South Korea in the colors of Seongnam FC, Albiirex Nigata, and FC Seoul.
It will be interesting to see how Alexandre Guimaraes, Mumbai City’s head coach, will use him after the departure of both Diego Forlan and Sunil Chhetri (Signed by Bengaluru FC).
FC Pune City: Spanish Midfielder Marcos Tebar
Marcos Tebar has become FC Pune City’s third signing from Delhi Dynamos’ squad of 2016 as the Hrithik Roshan-owned franchise have already signed mercurial winger Marcelinho as well as Kean Lewis, along with NorthEast United FC striker Emiliano Alfaro during the ISL Draft.
Marcos Tebar’s arrival is expected to bolster the midfield of the franchise that failed to qualify for the knockout stages all three seasons of Indian Super League’s existence.
Marcos Tebar’s experience and guile, is what Antonio Habas needs in the upcoming season which is set to feature a total of 10 teams battling it out for an AFC Cup spot which also comes along with the top honors.
Delhi Dynamos FC: Argentine Striker Juan Leandro Vogliotti
As Delhi Dynamos FC, surprisingly, opted to begin the draft on a fresh note without any retentions, they have now lost Marcos Tebar, Marcelinho and Kean Lewis for the fourth edition of Indian Super League.
This asked for a prolific new signing and Delhi Dynamos has made no mistakes by going for Juan Leandro Vogliotti, who is also their first specialist striker for the upcoming season. The 32-year-old has been playing Sports Boys Warnes in the Bolivian top division and the Argentine finished as the second highest goalscorer in the league with 21 goals in 36 appearances, last season.
Nicknamed ‘The Chico’, the Juan Leandro Vogliotti is known for his strength and power that he brings to the front line, making him a nightmare for defenders of the opposition.
ISL 2017/18 starts on 17th November and before that, each and every franchise will have to complete their 25-man squad. Atletico de Kolkata will be defending their title this season and this could be the best Indian Super League seasons because predictions are not going to work this time.
