In the name of the game let us not do Vandalism. Cristiano Ronaldo’s hometown in the capital Funchal, Madeira in Portugal, witnessed a wicked act. Some vandals in Portugal ruined the statue of Ronaldo, not only by painting Messi‘s name on it, but also by disgracing the sports spirit. Call it football or soccer it is a game which tells winners ‘to never quit’ and showcases the ‘talent and hard work’. It is a frolicsome activity; this has hurt the sentiments of many sports lover.

This incident has led to some serious concern like sports rivalry in the derogatory terms. His sister Katia Aveiro has also expressed her anger via her personal twitter account.
“I am angry, sad, disappointed and speechless at this so disrespectful lack of maturity,” she wrote. “It is disrespectful for the tourists.”
We all know how proud I am of this person [Ronaldo] — I could spend hours talking about his acts of goodness and qualities. As a Portuguese I am left sad and ashamed.
“Thanks to him [Ronaldo] there has been tourism, jobs created and investment on our lovely island which unfortunately is inhabited by some frustrated savages who deserve to live in Syria. People who have no respect and do not know how to live in society.”
This statue was unveiled by Ronaldo in 2014 by him in his relative’s presence.
