Shikhar Dhawan turns 31 today and the star opener received wishes from cricket fraternity and fans. ‘Gabbar’ has been regarded as one of the best openers that Indian Cricket has seen and before showing you how his fans and colleagues wished him, we would like to state some of his major achievements in his cricket career.
He has played junior cricket for Delhi and went on making debuting in the U-19 World Cup in 2004, before making it to the ‘Big League’. Dhawan made his ODI Debut in 2010 and that was the time when the Indian Team was searching for an opener to replace Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar, after their retirement.
Dhawan took the challenge and with the help of another new comer, Rohit Sharma, gave the Indian batting lineup another dependable opening pair. The Delhi Boy rose to new heights when he was awarded the ‘man of the tournament’ in ICC Champions Trophy.
Many many happy returns partner @SDhawan25 have a great day 🎂 https://t.co/Y9yoqHt08w

He played consistently in the 2012-2013 season and showed his quick attacking capabilities that most bowlers have started to fear now.
Shikhar Dhawan became the fastest batsman to score a century on his Test debut in 2013 and that too, against Australia, at their own backyard. Dhawan replaced Virendra Sehwag in that series and he achieved everything, that a batsman ever dreams of, on his debut.
Happy birthday to the man with the fastest ever century on Test debut, @SDhawan25! pic.twitter.com/6DyKoccC8L

However, the player is suffering from an injury and ha also struggled to perform in the last couple of years.
We wish him a quick recovery and hope to see him smashing the ball out of the ground soon.
