1. New Zealand vs Bangladesh: Kiwis Won by 77 Runs
Kiwis won the first ODI of the New Zealand vs Bangladesh series by 77 runs at Hagley Oval, Christchurch. The hosts opted to bat first and ended up giving a target of 341 runs to Bangladesh. However, the visitors lost all their wickets at 264 runs with 5.1 overs still to spare. Tom Latham was given the Player of the match trophy for his 137 runs innings off 121 balls.
2. Pakistan Vs Australia 1st Day Stumps
Pakistan scored 142 runs with the loss of four wickets at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Monday. Azhar Ali (66*) and Asad Shafiq (4*) were at the crease after the last session of the day while Sami Aslam (9), Babar Azam (23), Younis Khan (21) and Misbah-ul-Haq (11) lost their wickets. Jackson Bird claimed 2 wickets at an economy of 3.35 while Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon claimed a wicket each at an economy of 1.15 and 3.82 respectively.
3. South Africa vs Sri Lanka 1st Test, Tea Break
South Africa won the toss and opted to bat first against Sri Lanka at St George’s Park, Port Elizabeth. At the time of tea break, hosts were at 174 runs with the loss of 2 wickets, Hashim Amla (18*) and Jean Paul Duminy (46*) being at the crease. Suranga Lakmal claimed the wickets of South Africa’s opening pair Stephen Cook (59) and Dean Elgar (45).
4. Big Bash League 2016: Hobart vs Melbourne Stars
Melbourne Stars won the match against Hobart with 7 wickets at Bellerive Oval, Hobart. Hosts opted to bat first and ended up giving a target of 188 runs to Melbourne Stars. Answering the challenge, visitors took only 17.4 overs to score 191 runs with the loss of 3 wickets. Rob quiney became the Man of the Match for his 75 runs innings off 43 balls.
5. Ravichandran Ashwin Becomes Father for the Second Time
Indian Star spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin is on the seventh sky as happiness has circled him in both his professional and personal life. Ravichandran Ashwin welcomed another baby girl to his family and made the news public after 5days of her birth. Prithi Ashwin went on Twitter and said that she didn’t want to effect Ashwin’s spotlight moment as the Indian spinner recently grabbed the ICC test Cricketer of the year and that is the reason behind a delayed revelation. Ravi and Prithi Aswin are also the proud parents of their one year daughter named Akira Ashwin.
