KL Rahul, the young Indian opener has been added to Indian Squad for the 2nd Test against England at Vishakhapatnam. Rahul was suffering from a Hamstring injury that he endured during the first Test Match against New Zealand last month.
Now the player has cleared all the fitness tests and is back to impress us with his exceptional talent. Rahul was currently playing a Ranji match just 65 km away from the Visakhapatnam where he scored 76 off 85 and 106 off 132 balls against Rajasthan.
This prompt decision by the board shows that the team currently needs a good opener for a come back in the ongoing Test series against England after the close draw in the first test match.
KL Rahul said that he is feeling good and is definitely fit for taking part in the competition. MSK Prasad, the selection committee’s chairman was present during KL Rahul’s fitness test and this shows that how important the player is for the Indian cricket team.
Disappointed to miss out on such a big series. But only an Injury makes the comeback Sweeter. pic.twitter.com/RBjThuLEsQ

However, KL Rahul’s inclusion in the team has also raised a question about Gautam Gambhir’s future in the Indian team as the star opener scored just 29 and 0 runs in the 1st Test match.
Virat Kohli’s side must be in great grief after somehow prevented a defeat against England and the team will be hoping to turn the tables after KL Rahul’s selection in the 16 players squad.
