India vs England ODI Series 2017 has started with a bang as the world witnessed one of the most thrilling run chases ever played between the two teams. Virat Kohli has taken the Indian side in a new era after being selected as the full time ODI captain and what a start it was!!
It seems that Indian fans are in for a treat and could witness some more 350+ run chases due to the fact that this was the third time that India has successfully chased down a humongous total like this since Kohli’s introduction in International Cricket and the new skipper has scored a century in all three games, making him a run machine of World Cricket.
From surpassing Sachin Tendulkar by scoring the most number of hundreds in successful run chases (15) to becoming the best player in all the three formats, Virat Kohli has done it all and his new innings as the Captain has also taken off with a magical start. Fans are expecting a similar dominance in all the three formats as this Virat Kohli led side has shown in Test cricket, however, it is not going to be an easy task as every step taken by the new skipper will be compared to the ones taken by the former captain MS Dhoni.
Kedar Jadhav (120 off 76 balls), on the other hand, became the life saver for India as he never let the required run rate surpass the 7.5 runs per over mark and established a much needed 200 run partnership with Virat Kohli when players like Shikhar Dhawan, Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni failed to give India a good start. Words are not enough to acknowledge his performance at No.6 and he may replace MS Dhoni at this number, if he will be able to continue the momentum.
Twitteratti have applauded the brave effort shown by both Virat Kohli and Kedar Jadhav after the team being 63/4 at one stage and further marked this one of the best run chases ever seen in World Cricket.

Hugely emotional moment for Kedar Jadhav. It's been a life of struggle and that makes it sweeter. Can he now take India home post @imVkohli?

However, Champions Trophy 2017 is all around the corner and the way Indian openers have performed in this match, there are a lot of areas that the new skipper will definitely have to focus on, in order to make the Indian side a complete package.
