Fashion trends. The world can never grow out of them. With a burgeoning tide in popular imagination and incessant desires of people to look the best that they can, fashion trends dominate discussions, rule media by-lines and occupy headlines of blogs that either celebrate them or mock them.
Interestingly, each festivity or cultural celebration brings about a sea change in people’s fashion choices. But times, as the great Dylan once said, are changing. No more are wearing ugly sweaters deemed the worst fashion choice during festivities such as Christmas.
In all honesty, being decked in a funnily knitted wollen garment, perhaps all dark green with a red reindeer pinned in the middle no longer constitutes abominable clothing sense or attire during the holiday season. That is, what one might call, too passe.
Apparently, in the United Kingdom and the United States, a new horrific fashion faux pas has made its presence so pronounced for being among the worst fashion choices during holiday season that old senseless attires seem pretty washed up now.
Christmas eyebrows! Ever heard of that phrase? What does that even mean? Does it signal a person opening his or her eyebrows only during the Christmas eve or does it mean abstaining the eye from seeing anything conniving or evil during such a pleasant, pious season of festivity. Anyhow, it’s a new fashion.
Making for an apt tacky fashion trend, the Christmas eyebrows- wherein girls and women paint their brows in Christmas colours of Red, White and Green and go as far as putting a twinkling tiny sticker across the eyebrow- has struck a chord with people. Even though, where visual experience stands, it’s quite an unpleasant one.
The eyebrow-raising look is achieved by using gel to separate out the eyebrows and make them into peaks so that gems and other glittery objects can be stuck to them. Currently, several active Youtubers and Instagram pages are running ripe with various depictions of Christmas eyebrows- a fashion trend that seems to have sliced out of a mindless surge of the female brain to sell hideous fashion magazines.
In lines with this current fashion trend, that is making news all over it isn’t uncommon to actually run across women who’ve transformed their eyebrows into thick green leaves apparently, branching out from a Christmas tree. Imagine, waking up on this Christmas eve and seeing the love interest of your life exchanging pleasantries with you with the absurdly bushy look?
