Another video from Kashmir valley has started emerging on various social medias in which a youth has allegedly been tied up to an army jeep as a human shield against the stone pelting.
The incident occurred in the Budgam district of Srinagar which went to bypolls on Sunday and on repolls on Thursday. In the clip, one can make out the army soldiers saying, “those who throw stones will meet the same fate”. The clip was recently uploaded on the Internet, after the services in Kashmir were restored.
This huge and inhuman step by the army soldiers can be taken in order to save themselves from stone pelting, which was in full swing during the polls. However, no matter how important the step might seem to the army, it is utterly wrong.
Col Rajesh Kalia, the Army Spokesperson, said to the media that the army is verifying the credentials of the video.
Due to the virality of this video, it also reached the social media circuit of Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who saw the video, termed it as ‘shocking’. He went on to tweet a little more about it and then compared this incident with the one that also went viral a few days back. In that video, the stone pelters were seen thrashing and abusing Army soldiers outside the polling stations.
