On Wednesday, a fire broke out at the prestigious Don Bosco School situated at Park Circus, Kolkata. The fire started out on the roof of the school and students reported the incident after seeing the smoke coming out from the location.
Around 3000 students were successfully evacuated from the school premises and no one was reported injured. Four firefighting squads rushed to the location to handle the situation. However, according to Don Bosco School’s representatives, the fire was brought under control even before the Firefighters arrived and the cause of the fire is still unknown.

Parents rushed to the school after Don Bosco’s administration informed them about the mishap. Parents were satisfied with the evacuation process and said that it was a smooth process. However, they were scared due to the fact that a same kind of accident happened at SUM hospital in Bhubaneswar which claimed 23 innocent lives.

This was another case in which a massacre was prevented due to the students’ presence of mind and they deserve the credit for this.
