Kapil Sharma tweeted to Prime minister Modi that a BMC official has asked a bribe of 5 lakhs for his office. In response, the state’s chief minister and the Mumbai civic body asked him to lodge an official complaint by giving them the name of the official and promised to take action against the errant official.
But soon after the news spread, BMC alleged Kapil Sharma that the civic body warned the stand-up comedian about an illegal construction in his office.
BMC said that the civic body issued a notice to him for carrying out an illegal construction as Kapil was encroaching 15 feet of land and constructing an illegal floor.
BMC sources revealed that the construction continued in his office despite the notice and in August civic body carried out demolitions to remove the illegal structures.

However, it is unclear why a civic official asked for the bribe or the structure was demolished or not but as soon as the reply came from BMC the twitter went bizarre. While some were supporting Sharma for his bold move, some were against him.
Here Is What Twitterati Have To Say:
As I've said earlier, the day isn't far when people will tag @narendramodi even for plumbing flaws though agree with @KapilSharmaK9 's issue

Shouldn't @KapilSharmaK9 have complained before paying BMC the bribe. Paying a bribe by itself is an offence.

"मोदी को कुछ बुरा बोलो, पब्लिसिटी और दूसरी पार्टी का सपोर्ट फोकट मैं मिल जाएगा" #KapilSharma took this very seriously..😁

Why would you target Kapil Sharma for highlighting an age old problem? Imagine how tough it is for the rest. A good thing to have spoken out

BJP must ensure that not just Kapil Sharma but every1 gets relief from #CorruptBMC
Hope it's not a PR gig for Modi https://t.co/5qYHGnCPNX— Shehzad Jai Hind (@Shehzad_Ind) September 9, 2016
Glad that #KapilSharma voiced this publicly. HIs real intention is doubted. Still, if influential people talk, there is hope Vs #corruption
