“Bank Chor” Trailer is here and this might be one of the clearest comedies by Ritesh Deshmukh in a long time. Comedy was Deshmukh’s niche, however, it’s been really long since he has tickled our comedy bones. “Bank Chor” might change all of it.
The trailer starts with a take on Yash Raj Film’s prior robbery franchise and presents the new robber in town who goes by the name – “Bank Chor”. By the looks of it, “Bank Chor” is more inclined towards one specific day and the turn of events that happened in it. Y-Films, which basically targets the young minds in the market, are the mind behind this flick and they have self-confessed it to be, India’s STUPIDEST comic thriller.
“Bank Chor” is a story about Champak Chandrakant Chiplunkar (Ritesh Deshmukh) who strongly believes in superstitions and as per his beliefs, he has picked the worst day to rob a bank, where everything goes wrong. By his side, he has recruited two amateur robbers from Delhi who have never even picked a pocket, in their lives. This small awful bank robbery is worsened by the huge fiasco that it has created which attracts a huge amount of media and an extremely uptight police officer, Amjad Khan (Vivek Oberoi), who believes in shooting first and interrogating second.

Along with Ritesh Deshmukh, “Bank Chor” also seems to be marking the return of Vivek Oberoi on the screens. Expect some twists, quirky dialogues and a whole lot of rap, which are possible by the addition of Baba Sehgal in the film. Bank Chor also has Rhea Chakraborty who is playing the character of a Fashion-Journalist turned Crime Reporter. This YFilm’s venture is a much-delayed project which was scheduled for an early 2015 release, however, it is now all set to release on 16th June.
“Bank Chor” is directed by debutant Bumpy.
