Your Positive News Of The Day: India Records Lowest Number Of Cases In Last 24 Hours Compared To Last 44 Days!

At a time where one of the largest democracies on the face of the world was conflicted and endlessly so by a hammering blow of the COVID 19 pandemic, with dozens of deaths being reported every single day for much of April and May, here comes a piece of news that is bound to produce a smile on the everyday Indian. And much like they say that after a stormy night that takes away our smiles and hopes, there finally appears a ray of sunshine, the same can be said about India’s current COVID situation.

Wondering why? Well, quite simply down to the fact that the number of COVID cases in India are now nosediving. And while theoretically speaking, one cannot establish the exact extent to which India may have controlled or won its COVID battle, what can be said is that there’s promising news where the number of COVID cases in India stand at the moment.

In the last 24 hours, the COVID cases in India were the least where one compares the data collected from the previous 44 days. Now, if that’s not a fantastic development, then one wonders, what is?

According to official numbers from the revered Health Ministry, the following data comes to light:

3,660 Covid patients died in the last 24 hours, according to government data. With this, the country’s total fatalities since the beginning of the pandemic touched 3,18,895.

That being said, the overall COVID cases in India stood at 1.86 lakh with the exact number being no more than 1,86, 364. And these are the new COVID cases in the country.

Perhaps the control in the COVID situation is down to the fact that much of the country has been persisting with a steady state of lockdown across diverse regions. Tight restrictions on movement have been the order of the day. That being said, though come Monday, and one shall see a bit of easing up where it comes to the lockdown in the national capital of India- Delhi.

In the past month and a half, the country jostled badly with tensity pertaining to the rising COVID cases with there not being a single day where one didn’t hear about people dying, either due to poor (or untimely) provision of proper medical care or simply on account of a failure of provision of much-needed oxygen.

But what was outstanding, it ought to be said, from India’s point of view was that several countries of the world stood up to support India during one of its worst phases, such as France, Germany, Dubai, United States and Australia.

One can only hope that the COVID cases continue to nosedive further in the imminent future and normality can prevail once again for a nation whose founding principles are peace and amity.
