Much of Europe, and this isn’t some harsh generalising of the enigmatic continent, has been troubled by the concept of Islamophobia. The growing number of Muslim population and what might happen if their numbers overtake those who’ve always originally belonged to Europe has formed a key concern for several countries put together. Take Germany, for instance, where it was reported recently that the current Muslim population has reached 5.5 million.
But the recent events in France, which in no way are related to or about a muslim-purported terror attack seem to have shocked the Macron administration.
So the key question is- what really happened that got the Macron administration angered and upset.
Believe it or not, but a letter was penned by active (serving) French soldiers addressed to the Macron administration that spoke at length about the peril dangers of the rise in Muslim population and their ghettos in and around France.
A letter directly addressed to the Macron administration by serving French soldiers went as far as warning the country about an impending “Civil War!” The main reason for this possible treacherous condition, it was stated, was the rising state of religious extremism in the country. And in return, the Macron establishment hit out at the open letter.
The said piece of communication addressed to the French political luminary was no random act, reason being it was signed by 1,000 active soldiers (including both men and women). And if in case you thought that, that was all, then it’s important to note that in addition, 20 retired generals had signed the piece of formal communication too.
The main content of the letter was the allegation put forth regarding Islamist fanatics, who the soldiers are of the view, have taken over different parts of France. The letter described them as “fanatic partisans!”
In no uncertain terms was the clear and evident warning mentioned, stating, “The Hour Is Grave, France Is In Peril!”
Though, it must also be stated that Marine Le Pen, a noted right-wing leader, who’s also a prominent candidate in next year’s French elections, has extended her support to the letter that carries a clear and present warning, according to the serving French soldiers.
Although, the Minister in-charge of the French Armed Forces, Florence Parly has clearly criticised the said letter and suggested that the French military ought to be neutral and loyal.
In a Tweet, as a response to the piece of communication addressed to the Macron government, here’s what Ms. Parly had to say, “Two immutable principles guide the action of members of the military with regard to politics: neutrality and loyalty.”
Furthermore, in her interaction with the radio network France info, she further added, “For who have violated the duty of reserve, sanctions are planned, and if there are active soldiers among the signatories, I asked the chief of staff of the armed forces to apply the rules… that is to say, sanctions.”
But the primary objective of the letter, expressed in no uncertain terms, was that France was currently being challenged by several imminent and present dangers, Islamism being a prominent threat. And it was mentioned clearly that this isn’t the time to procrastinate otherwise that day is not far away where there could be a civil war that could lead to several deaths.

The plain and simple question at this point is- is the letter needlessly aggravating the current situation in France and that all’s well or could it be that France is getting casual about the growing threat of some unpleasant elements in the society that need to be kept under a check? What do you reckon?
