There is never a dull day in the life of Dubai. Honestly! Truth be told, if the phrase ‘sky reaching ambition’ was ever a subject of study, then it’s most passionate pursuer would have been the city of Dubai. So how is that and what makes us think so?
Dubai isn’t considered a world city for nothing. It’s mega skyscrapers, diligently built public infrastructure and a clean public sanitation system have afforded it a place among the behemoths where some of the world’s most famous cities stand. Think Paris, Tokyo and London. Don’t forget Milan, Singapore City and New York.
Having been home to some of the most bedazzling pieces of infrastructure, such as the Burj Al Arab, the Burj Khalifa, which happens to be the tallest man made structure in the world (as of now), the Dubai Frame and the Almas Tower, to quote a few, Dubai is progressing steadily toward making another eye-popping landmark.
So what is that and in which direction is Dubai embarking on at the moment?
The famous city in the United Arab Emirates is well on its way toward constructing what is believed to be the world’s tallest hotel (new). As a matter of fact, construction for his rather ambitious and onerous project has already touched the halfway mark.
But is that all? What’s rather interesting is that at this point in time, the world’s tallest hotel that is being shaped in Dubai happens to be one among the five other lanky structures that have afforded the destination a place amid rip roaring headlines.
How is that?
Of the 100 tallest buildings that are under construction globally, 5 of them happen to be in Dubai and the world’s tallest hotel is one among them. If that’s not a regal stamp of prowess in infrastructural development, then one wonders what is?
Scheduled to be completed toward the fourth quarter of the year (effectively speaking, toward 2022-end), the work on the megastructure has already reached beyond the 52nd floor. Having said that, who is the driving force behind this ephemeral project?
The Dubai-based world’s tallest hotel is being developed by The First Group, which happens to be one of the most renowned Real Estate developers in all of the city. Having carved a unique identity for making upscale hotels and plush properties, this is easily the biggest project for the First Group thus far.
One simply can’t wait for the completion of the mega hospitality project in the heart of Dubai that goes by the name of Ciel!
Having said so, let’s dive into the other details associated with the project as per the insights reported in a Khaleej Times:
Currently, Gevora Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, holds the title of the world’s tallest hotel, reaching 356 metres. Prior to Gevora, the crown of world’s tallest hotel was held by JW Marriot Marquis, which rises 355 metres into the sky. When completed, Ciel will house more than 1,000 guestrooms and suites, as well as premium guest amenities and facilities, such as the Ciel Observatory & Lounge on the 81st floor and a signature rooftop Sky Terrace featuring an infinity pool and bar affording sweeping panoramic views of Dubai’s world-famous skyline, the Palm Jumeirah and Arabian Gulf.
Now imagine upon Ciel’s completion, being among the first to visit the sprawling marvel of the city of Dubai and being seated for a wholesome meal atop the topmost floor? The height of freewheeling curiosity, right?
