Panasonic Eluga Pulse And Eluga Pulse X have been launched by the Japanese company and the two smartphones will make their mark in Indian retail market with the price tags of Rs. 9,690 and Rs. 10,990 respectively.
Panasonic has stayed in the backdrop from quite sometime now and the only big launches we heard from the company were the updated existing models which were made compatible with trending specifications ranging from 4G VoLTE to fingerprint scanner. By the time Panasonic was struggling with its Eluga range of smartphones, Xiaomi and Lenovo, the two leading budget smartphone players, launched a host of new devices, Redmi Note 4 and Lenovo K6 Power being the most successful one, which also reshaped the smartphone business. These two smartphones still have a never ending queue in the online market and as abrupt as it may sound, Panasonic has decided to launch two new smartphones named Panasonic Eluga Pulse And Eluga Pulse X.
As expected, the first that comes to our mind is how will these two handsets breathe in the already crowded and competitive segment? And what’s better than putting them to the test of ages with the industry leaders.
Panasonic Eluga Pulse (Rs. 9,690)
Panasonic Eluga Pulse X (Rs. 10,990)
Panasonic Eluga Pulse’s price tag of Rs. 9,690 has put the smartphone in direct competition with Redmi Note 4’s 2GB/32GB variant and Lenovo K6 Power’s lone 3GB/32GB variant, both priced at Rs 9,999.

Considering the on-paper specs, and benchmarks set by the sales smashing smartphones, Panasonic Eluga Pulse looks a little pup after comparison. However, Panasonic stands out with its unmatched budget camera and display quality, and if these two are the specs you are looking out for in your next purchase, Eluga Pulse is the smartphone for you.
But, if performance is what you drool over and a little hassle with the display can do for you, Lenovo K6 Power should be your ultimate buy.
Coming to the bigger Panasonic Eluga Pulse X, its Rs 10,990 price tag has attracted Redmi Note 4’s 3GB/32GB (Rs 10,999) and Lenovo K6 Power to the battleground. As expected, Eluga Pulse X will attract those buyers who are only looking for the multimedia experience and if their first preference has nothing to do with multimedia, Panasonic’s new smartphones might be forced to taste dust in the competition.
However, we really appreciate the initiative taken by the company to offer more VFM devices like the Panasonic Eluga Pulse and Eluga Pulse X, moreover, the handsets most probably will have a dedicated consumer base who want to experiment new tastes in the smartphone industry rather than sticking to the same trend.
