Moto C: This Could Be The Cheapest Smartphone From Motorola

Moto C has been subjected to various leaks and rumors in the last couple of weeks, all thanks to its big brothers, Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus. Both these smartphones have managed to steal Xiaomi’s customer base in the mid-budget segment and now Lenovo-owned Motorola is planning to tackle the challenge given by Xiaomi Redmi 4A.

The segment from where these Chinese manufacturers entered the Indian market was the sub-Rs 10,000 one. Competing in this segment was and still is, not everybody’s cup of tea. Further, only Xiaomi and Lenovo have managed to breathe in this segment.

Redmi 4A, the smartphone that was launched last month, took the competition a notch higher and Moto C is expected to, once again, steal the show.

Recent rumors have suggested that Moto C might feature a 5.2-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC, Android 7.0 Nougat, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Moto C is also expected to boast a 16 MP rear facing camera with LED flash, and an 8MP front camera. The smartphone will be backed by a 3,800mAh battery with quick charging support. Coming to the price, Moto C is expected to be priced competitively with Xiaomi Redmi 4A and might cost anything between Rs 5500-6000.

Evan Blass, a famous tipster, shared a video grab which was released by Motorola on its 44th anniversary, last week. The allegedly Moto C could be seen alongside the upcoming Moto X and the grab exposed it’s back which looks similar to a high-end Moto G5.

The company is also working on a Moto Z successor and the smartphone is likely to come with Snapdragon 835 SoC, 4GB of RAM and run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.

Coming back to Moto C, if all these rumors turn out to be true, Xiaomi Redmi 4A will have all the reasons to worry and consumers too will finally enjoy the power of choosing in the sub-Rs 7000 category.

Xiaomi Redmi 4A is priced at Rs 5,999 and features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS Display, 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, 2GB RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card, 13MP rear camera with LED flash, 5MP front sensor with f/2.2 aperture, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and a 3120 mAh battery with fast charging support.
