LG V30 Review: An Exciting Powerhouse That You Will Love To Play With

In 2015, LG started a new journey with the LG V10 and the V-Series has always focused on bringing the best multimedia features with a durable package having all the high-end specifications that power users crave for. Now in 2017, the tradition continues with the LG V30 and considering the competition that is going to face, the smartphone has set new standards for other premium players.

As expected the LG V30 has adopted the design language from the G6 but there is more this smartphone. For starters, LG V30 is the slimmest device from the company and while the specs sheets say that there is a full vision display, it can easily be compared to the Infinity display that we have been seeing on Samsung’s S8+ and Note 8. Moreover, the boxy design has made way for the rounded edges and the secondary display has also been scrapped, which is a good thing for such a huge device.

What we like about LG V30

• The rounded edges, curved Gorilla Glass and a perfectly shiny metal frame make LG V30 pleasant hold, shockingly light and give a premium look to it.

• 6-inch display offers great viewing angles while color production is vivid and everything but not overdone.

• The 2,880 x 1,440 display provides ample room for split-screen multitasking.

• Just like the G6, the multi-window feature has been extended to LG V30’s camera software as well.

• This is the first smartphone to come with f/1.6-aperture in the rear camera, making it the best unit for clicking pictures in low-lighting conditions.

• To sum up the camera quality, this is the best package from LG ever and this goes for both the front and rear cameras. Irrespective of the lighting conditions, they do a great job in capturing the picture perfect moment.

• For power users who want to shoot videos with LG V30 and export them as well, Cine Log comes in-built with the smartphone for your needs. If you’d rather want to edit the video on LG V30, it also comes with an app that can let you do just that.

• The Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) technology does a good job with high-resolution audio streaming.

• As for the performance skeekers, they get the top-end chipset and 4GB of RAM which is enough to leave their inner craving of multitasking and heavy gaming, more than satisfied. LG V30 will never have to worry about frame drops or lags.

What we didn’t like about LG V30

• No removable battery this time.

• Should have come with Android Oreo support out of the box, although it will be added to the device via an update.

• A front flash could have made the camera even better.

Verdict

To say the least, LG has definitely learned from the failures of V20 and G6, making LG V30 the best smartphone to be ever produced in the factory. It looks gorgeous and premium while also focusing on other areas that other smartphones just don’t.

From cameras to audio output, from performance to looks and elegance to durability, LG V30 has to be the best launch of the year as it ticks all the right boxes to finally make a comeback to the top-tier where Samsung and Apple have been ruling for a long time.

Depending on how much it will eventually cost, consumers might be able to get a better idea of LG V30 as a package, but from what we have learned, it will definitely be more economical than the iPhone 8, making LG V30 An Exciting Powerhouse That You Will Love To Play With.
