Just like OnePlus and Xiaomi, LG too has come up with a special edition smartphone whose production will be limited to 300 units and will cost more than what Apple asks its buyers for the iPhone X.
The special edition smartphone is dubbed as the LG Signature Edition and will be exclusive to South Korean users only. However, with the scratch-proof Zirconium Ceramic-made shell and an option to engrave the user’s name, LG Signature Edition might end up selling-out sooner than expected.
On the other hand, for users for whom practicality is the core of living a successful and happy life, LG Signature Edition is essentially an LG V30 plus the above-mentioned features. That said, in order to justify its price tag, LG has bundled it with a couple of accessories to attack those 300 customers.

The LG Signature Edition will be available in Black and White color options and its availability is limited to 300 units. While the LG Signature Edition will be up for grabs in South Korea later this month it will take a user back KRW 2,000,000 (Rs. 1,18,800 approximately) which is considerably higher price tag than the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone X.
The company has also bundled a special after-sales service, B & Q wired earphone and B & O Bluetooth headset with LG Signature Edition, however, it remains to be seen how these complimentary accessories will help LG persuade customers to opt for this over-priced smartphone.
Interestingly, in the year 2017 itself, we saw Xiaomi coming up with the ceramic edition of the Mi Mix 2 for premium buyers and OnePlus launching the Star Wars Limited Edition 5T, both of which come with a similar price tag to their contemporary units.
On the other hand, it can’t be argued that at this price point, the iPhone X seems more practical and with what you would save, you can buy a decent Android smartphone to get the best from both worlds.
However, limited edition smartphones have a history of selling like hotcakes but with a steep rise in asking price South Korean multinational should have added some more bells and whistles to LG Signature Edition.
What do you think of the LG Signature Edition? Will those 300 units get their respective buyers?
