Coolpad Note 5 Lite C has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 7,777 and this will be the first offering from the smartphone manufacturer via offline mode in the country. After a huge online success, companies like Xiaomi and Motorola has started to give a boost to their offline availability and Coolpad has also joined the wagon with the Coolpad Note 5 Lite C.
The smartphone is a toned down version of Coolpad Note 5 Lite which was launched in India at Rs 8,199 in March. Coolpad Note 5 Lite C is also the company’s first smartphone to come with Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box.
At this price point, the Coolpad Note 5 Lite C will go against the likes likes of Xiaomi Redmi 4, Yu Yureka Black, Karbonn Aura Note Play and Moto E4, all of which are the respective best sellers for their respective manufacturers in this segment, and competing in an already crowded segment is going to be another ball game altogether for Coolpad Note 5 Lite C as its big brother also sits at an uneasy price of 8,199.
All these specifications that Coolpad Note 5 Lite C comes with are very basic and although it still is one of the best-looking smartphones in this segment, just like the Note 5 Lite, and a highly underrated camera, it’s the performance quotient that has been ignored in Note 5 Lite C.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 offers everything but a lag free experience which has become a must in this segment for heavy users and even there are better options available in the market, as far as multimedia consumption is concerned.
Moreover, what has left us confused is, with Note 5 Lite being just a couple of hundreds of rupees away, what exactly is the point of launching Coolpad Note 5 Lite C.
Although, we do accept the fact that Android 7.1 Nougat, along with a Qualcomm based processor, is welcomed change from the non-C version, but that has also resulted in a decrease in RAM capacity from 3GB to 2GB, moreover, MediaTek MT6735CP SoC offers better under the hood power than Qualcomm Snapdragon 210.
Should you buy one?
Only if, you liked Note 5 Lite, Coolpad Note 5 Lite C is a smartphone for you and that too if you are looking for an Android upgrade and Multimedia consumption because 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display offers great viewing angles as well as good visibility under direct sunlight.
But I would suggest you to go for Redmi 4A as it excels in every department when compared to any other smartphone present in this segment.
