Serena Williams is 20 weeks pregnant and just like her Grand Slams, she has also crushed the entire pregnancy game. In fact, she won her last Australian Open while being some 9 weeks pregnant.
The Tennis star revealed her pregnancy through a photo that she posted on her Snapchat in a bikini. A quite large baby bump is also visible in the photo, along with the caption, “20 weeks”. The snap was deleted within 30 minutes, however, her team has confirmed that Serena Williams is indeed expecting, after a long day of speculations.
Just last year, in December, Serena Williams announced her engagement to Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian in the cutest way possible. This announcement was a major breakthrough in the sports world as Williams and Ohanian’s romance was quite a secret among people and paparazzi.
Fans all over the world quickly decoded that the last Australian open that Serena Williams won was some 12 weeks ago which means that she was almost 2 months pregnant in her winning match. This is nothing short of spectacular for an athlete, but nothing less can be even expected from the 25-time major champion.
The 35-year-old tennis star was all set to regain her No 1 World Ranking in her next week’s match, however, she has decided to take a maternity leave for the rest of 2017. She will miss the rest of the season, and that includes – the French Open, Wimbledon and US Open.
Another great thing about Serena Williams’ amazing moment is that she will be sharing her pregnancy with her long time BFF Beyonce who is also expecting, and announced her pregnancy in the most glorious way possible.
Let’s just recall that Serena Williams is the greatest tennis player of all time, and quite possibly even the greatest athlete of all time. She has been up there and dominated the entire tennis scene for a past decade or so. Williams has very little to prove anymore and by the looks of her form, her fans are expecting a stronger Serena after her pregnancy, if nothing else.
