Real Madrid 3-3 Las Palmas: Ronaldo Saves A Point For Zidane

Real Madrid 3-3 Las Palmas was another eye opener for the Zinedine Zidane side in the La Liga match at Santiago Bernabeu. Despite the hosts powering for a quicky in the 8th minute through Isco, Las Palmas, a team that sits at No.12 on the tally, managed to take a 3-1 lead before Cristiano Ronaldo took his legs to work.

Isco, whose off-bench performance in the last game was rewarded with opening the game for Real Madrid, indeed put a dent reflecting the host’s dominance but Las Palmas, through Tana, leveled the score almost immediately. The visitor’s composure with the ball in the Real Madrid 3-3 Las Palmas game, came as shock to the Men in Whites as the side never looked like the one that has entered the game after losing four consecutive clashes.

Throughout the first half, Quique Setién’s men pierced Real’s defense and caused tremors for Navas, but failed to push the tally. As for the hosts, they lost Bale with two quick yellow cards and the 10-men team was busy with shielding their backline, which thankfully bore fruit and game went into halftime with the scores being tied at 1-1.

Las Palmas were the first to grab the lead in the 56th minute when Ramos was penalized for handling David Simon’s shot after winning a tackle in the area. Viera ticked all the right boxes on the penalty to make it 2-1 from 12 yards despite Navas attempts to get a leg to the spot-kick.

Santiago Bernabeu was shocked after witnessing the proceeding as the host failed to strike as well defend their post and then another heartbreak came. Navas was clearly annoyed after losing the lead by 2-1, but Las Palmas made it 3-1 just three minutes later, poking the goalkeeper in the guts. Viera’ simple long pass went over helpless Marcelo and an onrushing Boateng had an easy finish after Navas left his line for a failed attempt to stop him.

Naturally enough, Real Madrid fans were far from happy with the players and didn’t fail let them know the unacceptable performance.

However, Cristiano Ronaldo turned savior for his side and as unbelievable as it may sound, he single handily took the game towards a draw.

Here are the two goals that Ronaldo scored in the 86th and 89th minute.

These two shots for glory took the game towards a draw with the scoresheet reflecting Real Madrid 3-3 Las Palmas, and securing the second birth for the hosts behind Barcelona with 56 points.

As Expected, Twitter went ballistic after witnessing the magical turn of events.
