Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, the BBC trio of Real Madrid is in a deep mess as rumors about Ronaldo being irritated with Benzema’s current form are doing the rounds these days.
First, we heard that Zinedine Zidane is somewhat biased towards Karim Benzema despite the striker consistently failing to set up his teammates as well as contributing to the tally. Then came Ronaldo’s controversial calling during the game against Athletic Bilbao.
Further, Cristiano Ronaldo is 6 goals behind Lionel Messi in this La Liga season and the Portuguese believes that it is all because of Benzema’s inconsistency. Even Real’s dressing room is worried about whether the Frenchman has the mentality to still perform at the highest level and will the tensions between the two goal-scoring duo, who has 568 goals between them, ever be buried for the betterment of Real Madrid?
Meanwhile, Karim Benzema has broken his silence and has opened up about various issues, the most important being his future with the European Champions. During an interview on Radio Montecarlo, the 29-year-old said, “It would be a dream to finish my career at Real Madrid. There are no other clubs that light up my future like Madrid. I am at the service of the team, not Ronaldo or Bale. I play for the group”.
However, he also praised Ronaldo saying, “I understand Cristiano well, we have a mutual understanding and it is easy to play on his side. He always wants to win and score goals, including at training”.
The two statements don’t go well with each other and it’s safe to assume that the BBC trio is far from being on the same page.
Moreover, a recent poll has suggested that 88% of the Real Madrid’s fans want Karim Benzema gone from the club. Despite his unpopularity, Zinedine Zidane continues to put his faith in the striker saying that he is very important for the system.

Karim Benzema is a woefully underrated player and an exceptional striker for whom several teams would give an arm and a leg to get him on their side. However, he hasn’t been able to contribute much in the 2016/17 season and it will be interesting to see how Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale react to his comments.
Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale (The BBC Trio) has dominated in the past and still can, but will Zidane’s preferential treatment for Benzema result in the end of the trio or will he be able to regroup his teammates? If not so, then the Doomsday is not far from Real Madrid!!
