Deportivo la Coruna 2-6 Real Madrid, clearly shows that the ‘Men in Whites’ were at their prime when they went against Deportivo despite Sergio Ramos, Gareth Bale Tino Kross and even Cristiano Ronaldo being out for the game.
Zinedine Zidane, surprisingly opted for the rotational policy yet again, after getting beaten by Lionel Messi-inspired Barcelona on Sunday. However, it proved fruitful and Real Madrid came back on the winning track poking the Catalans after their 7-1 victory over Osasuna, earlier on the day.
Alvaro Morata scored in the very first minute, followed by James Rodríguez in the 14th minute. Real Madrid was at it’s attacking self, piercing through Deportivo la Coruna’s defense on numerous occasions but they must have felt the chills down their spine when Florin Andone after Kiko Casillas fumbled a corner in the 35th minute.

Real Madrid have scored 5 goals in a La Liga match for 1st time without Cristiano Ronaldo playing (since his debut in Aug 2009). #HalaMadrid
However, their hopes were crushed just 9 minutes later when Lucas again gave a two-goal lead to Real Madrid. Coming into the second half, Los Blancos continued their dominance over Deportivo as it looked like a game between rookies and legends, even when Real Madrid was not playing with it’s best of players.
James Rodríguez struck again after toying with the opposition’s defense in the 66th minute and his goal was followed by the heroics of Isco and Casemiro in the 77th and 87th minute, respectively.
Between the last two-goal by Real Madrid, Joselu did link tidily with the ball and scored the second for the home team, but by then, Isco has already found his rhythm and he finished the game with Real’s sixth goal.

While the game itself was expected to be one-sided, thus Tino Kross and Cristiano Ronaldo were given rest, and literally was, it clearly was a confidence booster for the Spanish Giants after their El Clasico defeat. Moreover, since Barcelona again bestowed magic on the ground against Osasuna on the same day, a defeat here for Real might have ended their La Liga dreams.
As expected, Twitter went crazy after the match ended in Deportivo la Coruna 2-6 Real Madrid and here are the best tweets of the day.

@IrvinThaGod Your team always playing good football without Ronaldo. Barcelona won 7-1 by the way. 7-1 is better than 6-2 either way you look at it.
