Cristiano Ronaldo Beats Lionel Messi By Scoring 100 European Goals.

Cristiano Ronaldo is back from the dead and is here to groove after he scored a double to lead Real Madrid to a 2-1 win against Bayern Munich at Allianz-Arena, München, where the club had only won once in their last 11 outings until yesterday.

The Champions League’s all-time top scorer, Cristiano Ronaldo’s two-goal haul (47’, 77’) in the first leg helped Los Blancos overturn a one-goal deficit and take control of their quarter-final tie against the German champions.

Interestingly, Ronaldo had failed to score in the UEFA Champions League since September 27(a run of 659 minutes), his last being the one against Borussia Dortmund early on in the group stage, which was also his second strike of the season. He also scored the winning spot kick in Real Madrid’s penalty-shootout win over Atletico in 2015/16 Champions League final and after these two sensational strikes against Bayern Munich, Los Blancos have emerged as the ultimate favorite to clinch Champions League Trophy once again.

Camp Nou already has 11 such trophies, two of them coming in the last three seasons and they might create history by becoming the champions for the 12th time.

As for Cristiano Ronaldo, he has beaten Lionel Messi in the race of 100 European goals as the latter stands at the second position for the most number of goals scored with 97 netted-strikes.

Here are the two goals that helped him create history, once again.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his very first goal in UEFA club competition during his Manchester United days when the club registered a 7-1 victory over Roma on 10th April 2007. It’s been 10 years and two days since then, and now he has reached this impressive milestone in Real’s crucial win at and over Bayern.

This ends the long debate over who will score the first 100 European goals, whether it will be Lionel Messi or Ronaldo? You have the answer now and for all those critics who has been questioning Ronaldo’s declining talent, this is what the four-time Ballon d’Or winner is all about and there is a lot of football still left to the player.

Cometh the moment, the man, the myth and the legend!!
