Since the devastating loss to Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017, Virat Kohli & Co. has been on a roll as they have successfully completed the West Indies and Sri Lankan tour with utmost dominance, however, India vs Australia 2017 series will be their biggest challenge as critics have been highlighting the fact that the Indian squad still needs to prove their mettle against top teams as well as in away conditions.
Now the stage is set for the Men In Blue as schedule for the India vs Australia 2017 series has been announced and the visitors will be playing a 5-Match ODI series followed by three T20Is in India.
While this will be the second time that Australia will tour India this year as they played 4 Tests in the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2017, which India won by 2-1, despite the visitors taking the lead in the first match.
That being said, the limited overs leg is going to be a whole new ball game as both teams will be testing their bench as well as core squad for the 2019 World Cup. Moreover, while India will be looking to begin their home season with a victory, Australia would want to enter the Ashes with a momentum.

Update: BCCI Announces Squad For The First Three ODIs Against Australia
Considering the current ODI team rankings, both teams sit tied for the second spot and a series win will propel India to the No.1 spot. On the other hand, Australia will be looking to create another record, as they have not beaten India in any bilateral series in India since the 4-2 victory in 2009.
However, since Virat Kohli and his team are going through their best of forms in the sub-continent, having won against teams like Zimbabwe, New Zealand, England and recently against West Indies and Sri Lanka, India vs Australia 2017 series is expected to be one of the best bilateral clashes of the year as both teams have a lot to gain and lose.
