10 Healthy Habbits For Good Vision

Good eye sight is a god’s gift which should not be taken for granted. Though, owing to the erratic lifestyle nowadays more and more people are becoming victims of vision impairment.
Unknowingly, we are inviting lots of trouble by always being struck to computers, laptops, smartphones, LCDs, etc.
Putting in simpler terms, we are running our precious eye sight for the sake of work and entertainment. While we cannot alter our lifestyle, the least we can do for our eyes is by taking proper care of them.

Here are some useful tips for your eyes and improved vision:

1. Regular Checkup

When you are able to see/read well and there is no irritation in your eyes, it is quite natural that you might forget or don’t feel the need to visit the eye doctor. But it is recommended to get an eye checkup done at least once a year.
It is helpful in timely detection of eye related problems and preventing it with appropriate treatment.

2. Blink More

One of the simplest ways to keep your eyes fresh and avoid strain is – constant blinking. It is noticed that computer users blink their eyes very rarely, leading to painful eyes and weak eye muscles.
Thus, blink your eyes every three-four seconds for a healthy vision.

3. Make Fish Your Best Friend

Include fish in your diet and you will notice the difference. Eating it once or twice in a week will protect you from the dry-eye syndrome as fish is the rich and natural source of omega-3 fatty acid.
If you happen to be a vegetarian then include eggs, walnuts, peanuts, flaxseeds etc in your diet for health benefit of your eyes.

4. Quit Smoking

It might shock you but smoking is also injurious for your eyes apart from the lungs and breathing problems. Smoking in excess exposes you to many eye-related problems like optic nerve damage, cataract and macular degeneration.
So, next time think twice before you buy a cigarette.

5. Remove Eye Make Up

For better eye health, make sure you remove all the eye-makeup before hitting the bed at night. If you keep the eye makeup intact, there is a high possibility that some of the particles may enter your eyes which can cause irritation.

6. Eat Eye Food

Like our body, skin and hairs, the two twinkly eyes also need the nourishment. Provide them with their favorite food i.e. apricots, carrots and blueberries.

These foods are rich in beta-carotene and makes up for a good vision and healthy eyes.

7. Get A Head Massage

Make sure to get your head massaged with essential oils like jasmine or coconut oil at least once a week. It will help in increasing the flow of beta-waves in your front head which will eventually lead to better concentration and enable wakefulness.

8. Kit-Kat Break

Take regular breaks at small intervals if you are indulged in a desk job or hooked up with reading some books or anything that involves excessive concentration of eyes.

9. Drink Lots Of Water

Water is the ultimate solution of most of the existing problems. If you are suffering from blurry vision that happens less frequently than sipping water at regular intervals is the key.
It will cure dehydration which is a very common reason for the blurry vision.

10. Give Your Eyes Some Sunshine

Sunshine is the best penniless treatment for your eyes. Your eyes will love it if you provide them with some evening or morning sunlight. It will loosen the tightened muscles and improve the eyes and pupil.
