There is no entry fee to enter this temple but if you wish to have a guide then it’ll cost you ₹50 who will take you through the cultural and historical significance of the temple. It is a place for people who love architecture and mythology.

2. Vijaya Vittala Temple

A yet another beautiful historical place from the list of the best places to visit in Hampi is the Vijaya Vittala Temple, which has amazingly carved stones and pillars all around it. The temple reflects the traits of South India and dates back to the Dravidian Era. 3. Lotus Mahal

It has been named so because of its resemblance to a lotus flower. Its central dome represents the bud of the lotus and its petals are the passages and balcony of this mahal. The site is open from 6 am in the morning to 8 pm in the evening and it costs just ₹10 per person unless you’re a foreigner, then it is ₹250 per person.

4. Yantrodharaka Hanuman Temple

Dedicated to Hindu God, Hanuman, this place is set beside the Tungabhadra River which flows through the steps of the hill on which this temple is situated. It is located just 2 km from the first place we mentioned for your trip, the famous Virupaksha Temple. 5. Hampi Bazaar

You can just not forget to visit this beautiful market located at the center of the city, spreading about a kilometer and has a huge Nandi statue at its end. 6. Hippie Island

Named after its vibrant culture, Hippie Island is one of the most famous tourist attractions and one of the best places to visit in Hampi. 7. Enjoy the Coracle Ride

These are circular boats, which are native to the Hampi region and can carry about 6-8 people at a time. It’ll cost you about ₹50-₹100 per person and is definitely a must-experience thing in Hampi.

8. Queen’s Bath

Built nearly 500 years ago, this structure has still remained intact and exemplifies Vijayanagara’s architectural excellence from back in the day that has stood the time. There is no entry fee for this place and it’s available to be visited from 8:30 am in the morning to 6:00 pm in the evening.

Best Time To Visit Hampi

The best and ideal time to visit Hampi is from October to February as the weather is pleasant and comfortable for sightseeing and other activities. Hampi receives the most number of tourists at this time only.
