A girl, identified as Nandita Goswami was beaten up by some women constables at the famous Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh pandal in Mumbai, whose video went viral on social media.
The reported incident took place on Friday when Nandini Goswami, had visited the ‘Lalbaugcha Raja’ pandal along with her kin and she tried to enter the VIP ‘darshan line’. Police officials present there prevented her from entering it, but she misbehaved with those cops. She started threatening them that she is a black belt in karate and abused the three women constable there. Then the women cops got angry and she was allegedly beaten up by 3 lady police official. They took her to Kalachowkie police station at 2 am on Saturday morning and charged Rs 1200 under section 110 (punishment of abetment if person abetted does act with different intention from that of abettor) of the Indian Penal code.
We are not supporting the steps taken by Government officials as it would have been easily settled without involving physical and social damage. But our social media where the video is circulating is straightforward accusing the women cops which is one-sided judgement.
Team Rapid believes in showing two sides of the coin.
