The dead-drop gorgeous wintry season is well behind us. The monsoons are quite afar from where we are at this point in time in India. As much of the country up north, here in the beating heart of the national capital is springing to life in this spring season, there’s a hint of taxing summer up ahead. So the most common question is- just how is Delhi’s weather going to be like in the days ahead? How will Delhi’s weather treat one and all?
Now, if that’s the question that’s been making rounds in your mind, then look no further than what the Indian Meteorological Department has for an answer!
If you are someone who has done away with the full-sleeves shirts (and the tucked behind the jackets and the half-sleeved sweaters in the cupboard), and have already placed your favorite cottons in the living room, then it’s about time to embrace the upcoming summers. And before you even think that there’s going to be some respite from what clearly appears to be sunny days, here’s a piece of information that might not seem all that cheery and resplendent with happiness after all:
It appears that in the coming three to four days, the maximum temperature for the day is going to rise by as much as three to four degrees. Picture for a second the fact that these aren’t peak summers and a period of time where one’s only just entered March.
That being said, popular news platform NDTV had the following to add on the subject of India’s soon-to-change summer weather. Kindly make time for the following:
Light rain is also predicted in the city on Sunday under the influence of a fresh western disturbance affecting the hilly region, it added.
On Friday, the maximum temperature settled at 31.6 degrees Celsius, five notches above normal. It is likely to rise to 34 degrees Celsius by Monday, the IMD said.
The minimum temperature will also increase by two to three degrees Celsius over the next few days.
All of that said, given the fact that these are vastly warm times for the planet we inhabit, one can only wonder how might the fast-approaching summer months behave. What can be expected from the peak summer months, starting April onward until June, in 2021?
Will one see stingy summers accompanied by barely-bearable sweat and humidity? Just what’s expected to arrive in the imminent future, if you are in Delhi NCR? For now, we shall have to wait and watch.
