Home Minister And Defence Minister Visit Newly Created 1000-bed COVID Hospital in Delhi

A few months back, there was this widespread concern that the Home Minister of the country, Shri Amit Shah was not seen all that much, in fact, not at all during the most vulnerable time in the nation’s recent history. The country always needs political heavyweights and senior leaders to guid and show Everyone wondered where was the honorable Home Minister hiding. There were even wile estimates that he had gone into a ‘self-imposed’ hiding.

But this is the reality of our world where vague theories and make-belief are constantly spread to misinform and deliberately mislead people. Ever since the recent events saw the Supreme Court hold the central government in Delhi accountable for the pathetic state and patient handling in its hospitals, the home minister has made himself available to take cognisance of the situation.

Now, a few hours back, the gentleman has surfaced and not by himself but in the company of another BJP luminary at the national capital.

So what were Mr. Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh doing in New Delhi?

Well, the two key members of the leading government were paying an important visit to the newly constructed 1000-bed COVID hospital in the city.

As a matter of fact, the nation has recently evidenced a new spike, with there being no fewer than 22,000 new cases that were reported in the last 24 hours.

If that’s not a serious number- then, one wonders- what is?

It’s come to that situation where if nothing is done urgently to arrest the galloping situation, then the day may not be far where new Coronavirus cases completely puncture the ruling establishment and the normal course of the country. And who would want to see such a day, one wonders?

The recent media reports shared the following updates in lines with the visits of Shri Amit Shah and Shri Rajnath Singh at the newly-built 1000-bed Covid hospital in the country’s capital:

“The facility has been constructed in just 11 days near the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport on a piece of land belonging to the Ministry of Defence.

“Visiting the 1000 Bed Sardar Patel COVID Hospital with 250 ICU Beds built in record time by DRDO & Tata Sons along with Raksha Mantri Shri @rajnathsingh ji.”

That being told, we must also appreciate the efforts and commitment of those who were able to make such a detailed and exhaustive medical facility within such a short amount of time.

The key aspects of this big hospital facility include- 1000 beds for the COVID patients, of which 250, are alone in the ICU.

A joint operation of Tata Sons and DRDO, this excellent initiative explains the timely response of the authorities at a matter where one just cannot afford any delays or lapses.

Having said that, what New Delhi also needs is compassionate and professional treatments extended to those suffering from the desperately dangerous situation.

Never a good sight to note the honourable Supreme Court calling out the existing government, giving it a stick in lines with abysmal patient handling- right?
