Here’s What Shilpa Shetty Has To Say In A First Media Statement After Husband Raj Kundra’s Arrest!

Another day and another controversy in an industry that entertains and inspires, surprises and thrills in equal measure. Ever since the word has been out that famous Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra has been involved in a pornography-related app, where it is alleged that he and his company apparently forced women to do compromising scenes (or acts), there’s been a storm of sorts in the film world. Though, at the same time, there hasn’t been anything that ever came into the public domain with regards to Shilpa Shetty herself.

The actress known for famous films such as Baazigar, Life In A Metro, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Dhadkan 2 and many more movies, it ought to be said, must be undergoing a storm of sorts in these last few days.

For truth be told, it can never be an easy thing for a wife to stomach the fact that her husband is facing the ire of an entire film-crazy nation, can it?

But now, after having maintained her silence for quite some time, having watched in absolute silence, all the hype and drama surrounding an unavoidable controversy of sorts, Shilpa Shetty has broken her silence and thrown some light on just how she is feeling at a time where she herself and her family finds facing duress.

So the following is what Shilpa Shetty, one of the most gorgeous divas of Bollywood had to say on the current predicament that stands in front of her:

“Yes! The past few days have been challenging, on every front. There have been a lot of rumours and accusations. A lot of unwarranted aspersions on me cast by the media and (not so) well wishers as well. A lot of trolling/questions posed… not only to me but also to my family,” exclaimed the south India-born stunner.

And she’d continue to add the following, “MY STAND… I HAVE NOT COMMENTED YET and will continue to refrain from doing so on this case as it is subjudice, so please stop attributing false quotes on my behalf. Reiterating my philosophy of, as a celebrity “Never complain, never explain. All I will say is, as it’s an on-going investigation, I have full faith in the Mumbai Police & the Indian judiciary. As a family, we are taking recourse to all our available legal remedies. But, till then I humbly request you – especially as a MOTHER – to respect our privacy for my children’s sake and request you to refrain from commenting on half-baked information without verifying the veracity of the same. I am a proud law-abiding Indian citizen and a hardworking professional for the last 29 years. People have put their faith in ME & I’ve never let anyone down. So, most importantly, I request you to respect my family’s and ‘my right’ to privacy in these times. We don’t deserve a media trial. Please let the law take its course.

She concluded by saying, “Satyamev Jayate! With Positivity and Gratitude, Shilpa Shetty Kundra!”

The only thing that one can say now is that only time can reveal the true extent of the nature of crime, if at all, committed by Shilpa Shetty’s husband- Raj Kundra!
