“Half Girlfriend” trailer released a few hours ago and one has to say that this arrival was definitely one of the most-anticipated ones. Chetan Bhagat, one of India’s best-selling authors, who writes less for the reader and more for the film directors and producers, is the mind behind the movie.
Bhagat’s 2014 ‘best seller’, the inspiration behind the movie, is based on Madhav Jha and Riya Somani’s life where Madhav is pursuing Riya to become his girlfriend, however, she doesn’t want to be that, which is why she settles for “Half Girlfriend – Dost Se Zada, Girlfriend Se Kamm”. That is the entire plot of the film which has the backdrop of three distinct worlds – Delhi, Patna and New York.

Well, as we said, the “Half Girlfriend” trailer has half of everything, that is, half of Arjun Kapoor’s acting (who plays the character of Madhav), half of Shraddha Kapoor’s presence (who plays the character of Riya). However, Vikrant Massey who is playing the role of Arjun’s best-friend (maybe) has done a phenomenal job with his accent and acting, which lacks a lot in Arjun’s bit.
One can’t fail to notice that “Half Girlfriend” trailer seems to have a similarity with Aashiqui 2, Hamari Adhuri Kahani and Ek Villain’s music and background score. Which is kind of expected as Mohit Suri, who has directed “Half Girlfriend”, was also the brain behind “Aashiqui 2″ and ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani”.
