New Force Gurkha 2021: All You Need To Know

There are talks in the town that the bad boy is back. Yes! Bad boy Gurkha is all set to benchmark yet again the new iteration of 4×4 capabilities and wanderlusts, filled with extreme adventure. After multiple teasers and spy shots across the internet, Force has officially unveiled the new generation Gurkha in its final production ready form. The SUV is set to go on sale later next month and its prices will be announced on 27th Sep 2021, while deliveries will start on Dusshera Day(15th Oct 2021)

What to expect or not?

The last generation Gurkha used to come with 2 engine configurations: 2.2-litre diesel and 2.6-litre diesel both derived from Mercedes-Benz OM611 family. After the new emission norms and safety standard updates in 2019, Force was left with no options than to update as well as upgrade its outgoing Gurkha. The all new Force Gurkha is coming with only one engine option that is a 2.6ltr turbocharged diesel engine, producing 90bhp@3400rpm and 260 Nm@1400-2400rpm of torque. This BS6 compliant engine is mated to the same Old Mercedes sourced 5-speed Manual Gearbox.

Exterior update includes chunky front and rear bumpers accompanied by flared wheel arches covered with black cladding, a clamshell bonnet and a boxy silhouette in profile. This time wheels are newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels with thick profile tyres. The front grill has been updated and redesigned with big chunky GURKHA embossed to it. The grille is fitted with retro style round headlight which come with the bi-LED lightings and integrated circular LED DRLs.
