Of course, key highlights, apart from having earned the prestigious LEED Platinum certification is the giant 42-acre park that is cushioned by plenty of clean, green open spaces, playgrounds, water-jets and, vegetable gardens. Already a national treasure, the Stavros Niarchos Cultural Centre is used for varied socio-cultural engagements such as for book launches, special screenings, deliverances of lectures and talks by eminent world personalities and has stirred up some emotion among Greeks who look up to it as a symbol of great pride.
